I have some decisions to make very soon about how regularly we’ll continue to play trivia games at McShane’s Pub. This does NOT mean that we plan to stop playing there entirely!

With a new Sporcle Events league starting within a couple of weeks, I’ll have to…choose.

Also the Water Tower Distillery in Ypsi will start offering Monday trivia nights starting next week. I’m considering giving this show a look, on a Mondays I’m not doing music quiz at Corner (those shows are every other Monday).

With us doing trivia battles only once a week (ish), this means… decisions!

Also, my better half may not be entirely on board with trivial pursuits being too competitive this summer. I can’t say that I blame him!

Fair enough. Being a not entirely recovered trivia junkie, it’s quite the tightrope for me sometimes! Sometimes I dip my toes too far into those competitive “flames.”

The means (ahem) – I’m only committing to two more weekly games at McShanes, then we’ll decide from there how to proceed for the rest of the summer.

I know that I already said this but…this DOESN’T mean that we won’t play any more games at McShane’s after that! It just means… that I might want to start… seeing other trivia spots in addition to McShane’s. And return to being the trivia whore that I’ve always been at heart ❤️ 😂 😉

When I can bring the help (preferably at least two additional players) I’ll want to give Original Gravity a chance. But only on nights when it’s nice enough to play outdoors. My criteria for “nice enough” is quite strict! If it’s over 85 degrees, or too muggy, that’s a “nope” for me! I have zero interest in their indoor trivia scene (ugh the acoustics). If a Thursday turns out to be the best night for me to play, I’ll let weather decide whether we’ll play at OG – or perhaps McShane’s. But only if I have at least a couple of helpers to bring to OG.

I don’t need as many helpers at McShane’s. Though the scores at McShane’s might say differently! The two teams we’re trying to beat right now have each had at least one 70-plus point game so far this season. We’re in third place as of now. We’ve managed to crack 60 points only once this season.

As for the Sporcle Events music quiz games, those will continue at least every other week (every week when my schedule allows and my partner in crime can come out). Me trying to do music trivia games solo would NOT be wise!

I’ll wait until after our Juneteenth vacation Up North to officially decide what to do next!
