Special shout out to team Derecho in Minnesota! I hear they are trying to qualify for their first Globe Game this week. In case you didn’t know and don’t feel like Googling, “Derecho” is a name for a specific type of storm front. Fitting name for a trivia team of all meteorologists!

We like to say that storms are a good omen for our team when they happen on trivia nights. That’s because our mascot Cthulhu is sort of a bringer of storms (among other destructive things).

I have attempted to hustle a team to play a live league championship game Sunday. We don’t have any horse in the race this time – and aren’t vying for a Globe Games spot, but it will be fun to see what kind of ball busting questions will be in play.

Our regularly scheduled game at McShane’s is still a go for Thursday.
