Our trivial pursuits lately have been the “fly by the seat of the pants” variety. Throw spaghetti at the wall and see what sticks. Trial and error.

Because of a variety of factors, McShane’s turned out to be the best spot after I stopped trying to hustle players out to Corner Brewery in February. I even asked the My Trivia Live league to assign us a league number here since our previous spot, Powell’s, stopped offering trivia nights. It’s too bad, it was so close to home, and Brad was willing to come out there to play. He hasn’t been keen on driving to McShane’s to play with us, though he drives to other spots. Maybe he doesn’t like the place? If I tried pleasing everyone, I’d end up pleasing no one. And I don’t like being a taxi service!

We’ve played three games this month at McShane’s so far, and plan to play at least two more, including tonight. The season ends in late March, and I don’t know my work schedule for that week yet.

I have at least two (sometimes three) other players willing to come play at McShane’s, which is more than what we need to do well here! There is a 12-13 person team who plays most Thursdays and they are alway interesting to watch! Their slip runner last week sounded so heartbroken after finding out they’d missed the final question, she said “I’m going to be in so much trouble!” You had to be there – it was kind of cute, really!

We’ll have Dave joining us tonight, who hasn’t been out for trivia since February 11. I’ll also have a “loaner” for the game next Tuesday. She’ll be on spring break at school, and she said she really wants to get her trivia on!

After that, we’ll be heading out of town for a weekend cabin trip. Campfires beckon!

Don’t have a real trivia plan for April as of yet. It all depends upon when I can get out for games, and what players I have to play with!
