I wasn’t feeling very celebratory during the solar eclipse in 2024 since my father in law had recently died. I did, however, listen to Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon album in its entirety, and watched the skies darken while sitting in my recliner.

On a more positive note, traditionally, my trivia team has played well during lunar and celestial events. Perfect game during a blood moon in 2015, near perfect game in March, 2023 when Northern lights were glowing in the northern part of my state. Coincidence? Uh, maybe!

We have also done well in games during severe weather events, such as snowstorms and thunderstorms. We like to joke that it’s because Cthulhu and Ithaqua are in our corner! And maybe Thor too 😂

I did wear a Thor T-shirt to a tournament where we won a cash prize hmm 🤔 ⚡ It’s mostly covered in the photo below from 2018, but your honor, I swear it is a Thor shirt! Behold my flat ironed hair (that is not my hair’s natural state).

We’ll see how we do tonight. If nothing else, we’ll blame it on the moon if we fail, like Bob Seger sang in that song!
