What an interesting month February is! First off, it’s fun- sized, with only 28 days (plus one bonus day every four years). Plus, there’s Black History Month (whether Trump likes it or not), a day dedicated to prognosticating groundhogs, the Super Bowl (is it bad that I want both teams to lose), Abraham Lincoln’s birthday and Valentine’s Massacre Day. What? We don’t celebrate Chicago’s gangland February 14th Murders on Valentine’s Day? NOW you tell me! 🤦‍♀️

February also occasionally has Mardi Gras, semi-annual Thomas Edison Birthday sales at local department stores and who could forget the annual Leslie Nielsen birthday extravaganza?

Oh, OK. I totally get it. Maybe I’m the only one who celebrates actor Leslie Nielsen’s birthday on February 11 each year by watching Airplane!, and at least a couple of Naked Gun movies.

To top off a day of watching some silly comedy films, there will also (allegedly) be a trivia game in a place I have never played before! I say “allegedly” because the last two times I tried going out for a trivia game on that day I failed. The last time I did a trivia game on February 11 was in 2020. I remember that it was at McShane’s Pub and I wore my socks with weiner dogs on them (don’t ask me why I remember that). It was a Tuesday, just like that day will be this year too. We won a prize, but I think it was second place.

Did I mention that February 11 is a special day for me? Yes, for other reasons not exclusive to the late, great Leslie Nielsen!

Bets on whether I actually play a February 11 trivia game this month? I wouldn’t count on it! 🤔 😂

But wait, there’s MORE! We plan to return to McShane’s on Thursday, February 13 (allegedly)!
