I’m recovering from a sinus ick and feel a bit under the weather. My next day off is Saturday, I’ll do the recap by then or before if I’m feeling better.
Long story short, we finished fourth overall for the night with 100 points, missed the first final q. We got the second final q correct and finished in third with a $5 prize.
We’ll be taking a hiatus from Corner Brewery’s trivia night next week. We never intended this to be a place we’d play week after week after week after week.
Ever since the pandemic, I’ve gotten a lot more casual and kind of ADD with trivial pursuits. Play a spot til you get tired of it, switch to another spot til you get bored with that one, so on and so forth.
My husband said this strategy not only keeps me from getting bored, but also keeps me from getting too competitive, which we both agree is good for my mental health.
I did want to find out if we had what it took to dive head first into a couple of local trivia hot spots. All I’m going to say is the results are…mixed! I am pretty proud of the players who’ve helped us over the past couple of months. I think if we wanted to make an earnest effort at a local trivia spot week after week after week, we “might” be successful.
For the time being, we’re focusing on a pursuit of gift cards and prizes, not bar dominance!
