This meme reminds me of the recent fracas involving two other teams accusing us of cheating in a trivia game after we had the audacity (and luck) to win a first place prize two weeks in a row. SMH…

I can’t even stress enough how little of a threat we really are to the teams at McShane’s Pub. We’re playing under a trivia league number for a bar not hosting trivia anymore. We don’t play every week. We’re not trying to be one of the iop 10 barhop teams.

So other than occasionally winning prizes, we’re not really a threat at all. And we have enough shitty games to keep us humbled – and fighting.

Hence our “Fighting Cephalopods” name. More about that in a bit.

I get it. I’ve been playing local trivia games for more than a decade, and we’ve been in the thick of cuttthroat competition too many times to count. I have an understanding of why some of these other teams behave as they do. And we haven’t always been the best behaved of trivia teams, either!

But we’ll live up to our “fighting” name when we get accused of cheating! Non violently, of course 😉 ✌ 😍
