We’re going out for our first trivia night for the month tonight. We meant to go out for a game Sunday evening, but we were vexed by congested roads filled with holiday weekend travelers. Our peaceful alternate routes we used to avert the congestion delayed us too long to make it home on time. I don’t regret taking the scenic routes at all! Not all of the towns we cruised through looked like shit holes!

LOL, while I was riding shotgun, I had a MDOT road map and an open gazzeteer on my lap! Yes, I also had Google maps on my phone, but it’s SO tiny, doesn’t show me the big picture and it uses so much data! It was handy for looking at current road conditions, so I’ll tip my hat to that! But I’m old school – paper maps are just fine – as long as I have my old lady reading glasses!

Wouldn’t you know – What rotten luck for us to end up in a short congested area just a few miles long the precise moment we braved getting onto the freeway! Though my maps phone app was kind enough to show me the congested area, it did not provide a reason for the gridlock. I thought that my phone was supposed to be smart! 🤔

We haven’t played a live Sporcle Events game since the Globe Games last month (though we did play virtually). Let’s see how we do!
