Got all dressed for and drove to work today. Time clock wouldn’t let me punch in, but time clock glitches are not out of the ordinary. My supervisor told me what she wanted me to do, and after I completed my first task (which took about 20 minutes), I logged into the employee web site to look at my team’s schedule. Huh – a co-worker who was not present was on the schedule, I was not on the schedule. Huh…
I talked to my supervisor, apparently she was not aware of the change and said that I should leave because of budget reasons. Uh, OK – there was definitely more than enough work for me to do!
I get that this could have been done by somebody over her head, but really – there is no excuse for somebody to have not let me know, if by just telling my supervisor.
