Oscar Malcolm Husted

Oscar Malcolm Husted, my great-great maternal grandfather. Served in the U.S. Civil War as a captain of “colored” troops in the 37th Kentucky Mounted Infantry, Company K (though he started out as a private in Michigan). “Colored” was the nomenclature they used back in those days. Born February 7, 1838; died 1911.
