I’m calling off my team’s normally scheduled trivia game Sunday, January 21 because of the timing of the Buccaneers/Lions game. This is the first time in the history of our team that such a thing has happened, but the Detroit Lions don’t make it to playoffs or become division champs every year, either!

Obviously I want my team to focus on getting trivia answers correct – and not the actions in a deciding football game! The possibility of at least one of my players being a little… shall we say – shit faced – by the time trivia starts – is very likely (no, not me, silly)! I’m not much of a day drinker anymore…

i’ve been amused by news stories circulating about how Detroit Lions fans broke sound records at Ford Field! One sports commentator said that it was easier to hear conversations at a recent Metallica concert at Ford Field – than it was last Sunday during the Lions/Rams game! Players whom have played on teams against the Lions are actually warning other players who haven’t faced the Lions yet on their home turf about the noisy Detroit fans!

I say make that noise! Why try to contain your excitement?

I wish that the trivia game could be pushed to two hours later, but that is not my decision to make.

A midweek trivia game might be possible again this week!
