Moms like having their kids all together for holiday dinners. Even if the kids don’t get along with each other, or maybe the kids don’t even get along with both parents or with in-laws what have you…
Trivia nights are different! You get to choose whom will be sitting at the table with you – and that teetotaling aunt of yours won’t be giving you that judgy look when you crack open a drink!
I’m excited to report that a group of at least four Pods will be out for a trivia night at a trivia spot near you next Wednesday! Or maybe not so close to you… I’m not saying which place since some other trivia players who follow this pointless blog site wouldn’t have that element of surprise when we show up! That is IF we show up at a spot that we’ve played with them before. Hmmm!
Having a Wednesday off and two others besides my husband and I available to play is a rare treat indeed!
So rare that this photo above of the players who will be playing Wednesday was the only one I could find of all of us together and was shot eight years ago! Specifically, November 2015 at an Ypsilanti spot called Maiz which no longer hosts trivia. We were there that night, if memory serves, to do a pre-arranged off-season battle with one of our favorite rival teams, which beat us by just one point. Or two? I think we had a Magellan question in the game, or put Magellan when we should’ve put DeGama? Maybe I’ll have to look up that recap! What I do remember is having a bit too much Fat Tire beer during the game!
Getting an actual trivia team together of players – and most importantly friends – I’ve known for along, long time – always makes me smile! And I haven’t had a lot to smile about in this past year 😐
