Don’t be jealous of how exciting my life is today. It’s the first Saturday I’ve had off (not counting the two I requested off) since August, and I’ve been watching Moonlighting reruns on Hulu. Don’t hate me ‘cos you ain’t me!

Was Bruce Willis the Ryan Reynolds of the 1980s? Was Allyce Beasley the Kristen Schaal of the 1980s? Fun fact, did you know she and Vincent Schiavelli were married while this series was filmed (he appears in an episode). Also, their parody of The Taming of the Shrew was, at the time, one of the most expensive episodes ever filmed? Also, this was a midseason replacement for Hart to Hart.

Bruce Willis was moonlighting in real life when he was filming this series. When he filmed Die Hard, he had to film all of his scenes at night since he worked on the series by day. Talk about long work days! Worthy sacrifice on his part, IMHO, since Die Hard catapulted him to superstardom.

And he had to really earn his spot on the Moonlighting cast, beating out a couple of thousand other hopefuls in the auditions.
