A Scene From Our Night of “Glamping”

This was our “safari tent” at Albert E. Sleeper State Park near Caseville, MI at the tip of Michigan’s “thumb” region. We had a queen bed with a memory foam mattress! The herds of mosquitoes were definitely not among the amenities we wanted, but in early June, they are to be expected!

Presently I have photos from our recent Up North, MI trip saved on two different mobile devices and a digital camera. I’m also trying to get some house cleaning done this week before Saturday, when I’ll have people over at my house to help install new blinds and a drapery rod. Since it’s my parents, my house needs to be beyond spotless! Granted it needed a good cleaning anyway, but this means my blogs about our trip will have to wait. Here’s another pic of the only waterfalls located in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula, Ocqueoc Falls, located in Northeast MI near Onaway, MI:

There is even a fully accessible walkway for viewing these falls! At least a couple of other groups had people using wheelchairs. I definitely approve of making nature accessible to all!

The most exciting part of any Michigan trip for me is seeing any of the Great Lakes. Except Erie, lol! Let Ohio have that one to themselves! I greatly enjoyed seeing Lake Huron…the look on my face says it all!

Could you ask for a better backdrop?
