My husband and I will be throwing our brains into a virtual trivia game tonight after a 24 day hiatus from trivial pursuits. During those 24 days we celebrated our wedding anniversary, visited his parents for the first time since September, 2022; went on two different cabin trips (one local, one “Up North”); and on the work front, we did an annual event called “inventory” and just yesterday I had to sit through a time wasting work event called a “staff meeting” and had to hear one of my co workers cry at all of us and our boss tell us we need to be more “inclusive” and respectful of everyone else and for f—s sake, try to get the pronouns right. Also something about gender neutral restroom signs? Maybe I shoulda taken notes! If you think this all sounds like some sort of bad movie, well…

Speaking of being there, you really had to be there when we visited a lovely white sand beach on Lake Huron a few days ago that had NO PEOPLE ON IT! Besides us. And a really cool looking reclusive teenage girl who kept her distance. It was absolutely wonderful!
