Sure, we have little chance of succeeding. We’ll be fielding a two-person team in a room full of huge teams. One of my players didn’t even respond to an email asking if he could play this week, two others just aren’t available. The allure of live music was greater than the allure of live trivia for one of my players (sigh)! But I’m not that bad of a singer! Speaking of singers…

If there was a Phil Collins song appropriate for this situation, it would be “Against All Odds,” AC/DC’s “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap,” or if we want to whine about doing poorly, it would be Joan Jett and the Blackhearts’ “I Hate Myself for Loving You.” The “you” being trivia, of course! Only a true Gen Xer is capable of that much self loathing! And Ms. Jett, of course!
