Well, They Asked! Nine Circles of Trivia Hell…

The Sporcle Live trivia company recently posted on Facebook asking players to list the “Nine Circles of Hell,” aka Dante’s Nine Circles of Hell (But for Trivia). Here’s how I answered:

Teams who make more noise about getting easy questions correct than your average World Cup soccer stadium crowd, progressive mystery rounds, country music, golf questions, misleading category names, We Didn’t Start the Fire lyrics questions, Emmy Awards, Grammy Awards, having to shut ears to think of answers to music questions because other music is playing,.Did I list 9 things?

My first listing kind of hits…close to home. There are at least a couple of teams playing Monday nights at Sticks who are guilty of this. Excessive grandstanding about getting easy questions correct – and this needs to stop (or at least turn down the volume a little). Fist bumps are OK, me getting a little overstimulated when I get a sportsball question correct or get every single Caribbean islands questions right in Monday’s visual mystery round – those are acceptable celebratory moments!

But going WOOOO! after EVERY SINGLE QUESTION (you gotta wonder whether they get all of these right) – needs to stop. Makes one think Rick Flair is in the room…
