We Showed Up For Trivia – And There Was No Trivia… Also, Some Trivia Questions!!!

We caught the tail end of what would be the last trivia game in the “trivia marathon” today at the YpsiFest. Then the host said there wouldn’t be another game, even though the event was advertised to last until 8 p.m. (we showed up a little before 6).

Well, that was a bummer! We finally found an activity that interested us at this festival, which is essentially designed to take your money in exchange for all manner of barbecued foods, sugary drinks, deep-fried confections, helicopter rides, numerous useless chotchkies, tie-dyed clothing and beer – if you don’t mind paying higher prices for it. And also dealing with the hassles of buying tickets, etc.

Here’s the kicker – THEY GAVE OUT CASH PRIZES AT THESE TRIVIA GAMES! This was NOT advertised – and the host herself didn’t even know about the cash prizes until she arrived for her post this morning. The last time I played a “festival” trivia game there were no real prizes handed out – just various things offered by sponsors – bags of popcorn, etc. Meh… The host didn’t even keep track of scores! Prizes were just “randomly” given to teams regardless of how they did.

So…let me get this straight – there would have been a chance to win cash at this “take your money” festival and we missed out on that chance?

Color me bummed…

Oh well! I’ll be doing a little pit stop at home for a bit so that (hopefully) some crowds clear out and we can have some beers on late night happy hour! On that note…(drum roll)

I do have some questions to share… (sorry no answers do your best to figure ’em out and these are in no particular order…). This is a blog-exclusive deal! You will ONLY get to see these questions if you read/follow this blog!
