Turns about a couple of my trivia “amigos” want to check out the trivia scene going on in the “Entertainment Tent” at a local festival today. I told them it’s essentially trivia for kindergartners – and there aren’t any real “prizes,” but they don’t care! They want to play! What kind of trivia cap’n would I be if I said “no?”

I’m actually looking forward to seeing the trivia host of this event…I haven’t talked to her for a spell, so it might be good to catch up on some of the “gossip!”

A local craft brewery (YpsiAlehouse) will be serving their beer there, too. I’m absolutely sure it will be overpriced, but how often does one get to enjoy a cold beer in a local park on a beautiful day without getting slapped with an arrest for having open intoxicants? When opportunity knocks? It’s all-day happy hour today at Aubree’s (unless they’ve canceled that), so we can always go there for cheaper drinks after we battle tough trivia questions such as:

What president is on a U.S. quarter?

Sunday, I’ll be backing up my friend Kim’s team at a ’90s music theme night. I’ve already warned her that the ’90s is not my strongest area when it comes to music (’80s music more my “bag”), but she doesn’t seem to care! If nothing else, we’ll have fun -and I’ll have a recap to write… Also, I just might get lucky and be the team’s hero for knowing some obscure early ’90s alternative music question answer! We got really lucky  in a ’90s music theme night in 2018 when our final question happened to be about #1 hits by women in 1990, since that was the year I graduated high school. I always say “the earlier in the decade, the better” when it comes to ’90s music.

As for next week, it’s a pretty easy trivia plan – Sticks…and Sticks! We’ll be doing both trivia nights at Sticks next week – Monday and Thursday, since it works well with my work schedule and my “better half” chimed in saying he preferred Thursday to Wednesday (closer to home for us).

I don’t think I’ll be doing a question for question recap of the “festival” trivia outing today! This will be a “just for fun” thing.
