My trivia team Miskatonic University Fighting Cephalopods has been playing pub trivia competitively for going on eight years. I thought I’d take a look back at the different bars/watering holes we’ve managed to “conquer” for purposes of advancing to regional tournaments (aka semifinals) over the years. The places we managed to “conquer” by either winning a venue tournament or semifinal game AND advancing to finals will be in bold, “losing” spots where we tried – and failed to advance to finals – will be denoted with strikethrough text.

The ‘Pods at the Sporcle Live finals in April, 2018 at 59 West. Got cephalopod? I always felt like I was attending a wedding at this “banquet center” (and always felt underdressed, LOL).

 

As you’ll see? We’ve had our share of triumphs and failures! As of August, 2019, we’ve been to 14 Sporcle Live and four MTL finals tournaments (playing as our team). Also, I’d like to take a moment to thank the multiple “guest stars” who have helped out my team over the years in my hour of need (even in some cases, at the 11th hour)  – I couldn’t have had most of these successes without all of YOU!
