You might remember watching Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers or the Electric Company as a kid. You might even remember a lesser known show called Villa Alegre. Never underestimate the power of television! When I was a kid in the early 1970s, I briefly remember Villa Alegre teaching me how to count to 10 in Spanish! While a Wikipedia article claims there is a move to have old episodes moved to DVD, Villa Alegre, will, for now, remain in my very, very faint memories as a little girl… I even vaguely remember the TV show’s theme song!
