Update On Changes in Eating Habits

I’ve  been trying this “diet” thing  this month. I’m  trying  to  eat  a salad  a day, eat more fiber, eat more fruits and veggies, cut back on carbs (except beer), etc. I’m  also paying  more  attention  to portion sizes – for example – if you stick to just one “serving” of saltine crackers (about  5), then it’s  easy to eat just a “serving” of peanut butter, too.

Results? I’ve slimmed down  a bit! Nothing  really drastic, but I feel better – and some of my clothes are fitting  better. I’m  not killing  myself, not starving  myself…if I have a small bag of chips or a serving of fries with a sandwich – that’s  OK!

In other news, my husband and I  both quit smoking  this year   (me Jan. 7, him May 17).

A wedding July 6 has motivated  me somewhat! But I’m  not going  to stop what  I’ve  been doing after the wedding  is over!
