This just in – I am in a message thread with the owner of The Wurst Bar named Jesse K., and he has informed me that Geeks Who Drink trivia is going to be offered on Wednesday nights at The Wurst Bar. More information here…

The owner is REALLY pushing for my team to come check it out – so much so, that he’s even offered to comp us our first round of drinks! Tempting…I’ll have to see what my players think. I have kind of another “weird” reason for disliking Geeks Who Drink – and that’s because it’s nigh impossible to do question-for-question recaps of games! Sure, I could blog about the “experience” and maybe throw in a few questions, but…

I only played a Geeks Who Drink trivia game once – in Virginia in 2017. I didn’t care for the format. You need quite a lot of players whom are “hip” in pop culture to succeed in this format. Unless you’re super awesome and can do it all yourself!

It is exciting that Geeks Who Drink is offering a local show, though. Choices are always good! I also hope that the Wurst “regulars” who were coming out for Wednesday trivia move over to this format rather than just go to a different bar for a MTL game. But trivia players can be a picky bunch! Maybe the MTL regulars will try it – and like it – or dislike it. With the season winding down, they have time to make up their minds!
