The upcoming “off” week for Sporcle Live looks like the best opportunity for me to check off a trivial “bucket list” item – and visit a trivia spot near where I grew up. I got all excited a couple of years ago when Joe’s Garage in Clio started offering trivia nights, because THAT trivia spot is pretty…darn close to where I grew up!

Sadly, trivia is no longer offered at Joe’s Garage. I never got a chance to meet any of my high school classmates in trivia battle – and best case scenario? Kick all of their asses. I have strange trivia fantasies!

There are actually a couple of trivia spots in the “vicinity” of where I grew up where I can play, but BJ’s in Burton has a special significance to me.  I’ve already been over all of the reasons Burton, MI is significant to me, so I won’t bother elaborating more here. So BJ’s it is! I will NOT be a tourist and ask about ordering a “dancing sandwich!”

So barring any disasters or extenuating circumstances, looks like my husband and I will be “invading” BJ’s trivia scene Tuesday night. Yes, it’s slightly crazy, yes it’s pointless -but it’s just something I’ve…gotta do.

Maybe, time permitting, we’ll have to stop in the “Captain’s Quarters” lounge. It was one of my grandpa’s favorite watering holes (though it had a different name in the 1960s/1970s).

Wouldn’t want there to be any dull trivia moments during this “off” week, would I? 🙂
