We’ll be doing trivia battle in a very tough room at today’s Sporcle Live semifinals! I’ve already talked a bit about the teams we’ll be facing off with in a previous post…

Now that we’ve managed to get a fifth player last minute (a classic ‘Pods move), I don’t really know how we’ll do! Will this player be a help – or a hindrance? I honestly don’t know! My “glass is half full” side is saying “Yes, he’ll be a help!”

Weather looks very lovely today, so we’ll walking “part way” there today from Depot Town. If we can manage to get a parking spot! Sometimes it gets a bit rough finding parking around there anymore. Now that the historic Thompson Block building renovation is actually “happening,” the parking situation is probably only going to get worse! Add to that the planned parking lot renovations which will close the main Depot Town lot, and…maybe we’ll have to make sure our bikes are in working order! Or take more walks into town…

Don’t get me wrong, I guess I’m glad my little town is getting so popular! The Freighthouse is getting booked for events nearly every weekend (usually for weddings), and other ongoing events, such as cruise nights and First Friday events are drawing people to the Little Town That Ain’t Ann Arbor But Has a Tower Shaped Like a Dong.

After the game, we plan to visit Aubree’s, where they are doing an all-day happy hour special on Saturdays this month (even the “Birdbath” cocktails will be on a $6 special). How can we go wrong? We can either drink to celebrate our victory today – or drink to drown our sorrows! What’s certain is I’ll probably be hungry as balls by then! I don’t tend to like eating during trivia games (grease on the fingers, food takes up too much space I need for taking notes, yada yada trivia junkie hangup). Who knows? If there is good competition in the room, maybe we’ll play a little Buzztime trivia!
