Sunday, I looked for a game recap from 2016 where I managed to win a first place in a MTL game playing by myself at Powell’s Pub. Just to prove to the world that my trivial pursuits aren’t always fruitful (sometimes the mountain defeats you, yada yada)…here’s a recap of a game where I had… quite a rough time playing by myself (only 48 points heading into the final). This game occurred around the same time I had my “first place” night, and at the same bar. I did notice that another player playing solo (under the name Baconium, The Tastiest Element, or something to that effect – I have a PRETTY good idea who this person was) had QUITE the night with an impressive 72 points heading into the final (out of 76 possible points). Bravo! I usually have to have a “team” to crack 70 points and it’s still rare when that happens.  In cases of near-perfect games like these, I almost always wonder if I could have helped with any of the questions that were missed. You never know?
