Tonight  we’ll  play  our  12th  trivia  night  of  the  calendar  year. We’re  not sitting  anywhere  near the  top  of  any  bar’s  standings (we have  not  made  an  attempt  to  do  so). I’ve  shifted  the team’s  focus  from trying to  qualify  for  tournaments – to “beer money or… bust.” No benchwarming, no burnout, no  boredom and no “unwinnable” scenarios. We’re only playing in spots where we have a chance to win beer money – with  the best mix of players  who can help  out  with  that goal!

What are the results? We’ve only  been  blanked  for  prizes  on  three regulation nights  so far  this year! Evan  has  become  more  involved  with  Sporcle  games, and Brad  joined  us  for our  recent  Powell’s game (Brad is a decent MTL  player). Another  “Pods Night” is scheduled  at Corner  Brewery  next week (not  too hopeful  about  prizes  in that highly  competitive  spot)…It’s  still fun  to  get  the “gang” together  there  once  in  a while!

And tonight, we’ll  visit OG for the fourth  time this year. Three years  ago this  week, we played  at  this  bar  for  the very  first time! It was a snowy night….
