Sigh…My Work Schedule Is Turned Upside Down For This Week…So What Does THIS Mean For My Trivial Pursuits?

I got a text from my supervisor this morning – at the very precise moment when I was ALMOST completely dressed for work – telling me that today’s truck delivery was canceled – and could I come in Tuesday to work instead of today?

“OK,” I texted back, and proceeded to…try getting back to sleep (it took a little while).

So this means tonight’s “plans” to play at Powell’s Pub in Ypsilanti have been…scrapped – but may get put back on the “menu” next week. My new tentative “plan,” weather permitting, is to play at Tower Inn Tuesday. Even though they have moved their show to 9 p.m., a later start time will work just fine when I don’t have to get up the next day. Plus, the competition there looks pretty…light. My husband and I should have a decent chance of winning prizes there. Plus, the drink prices are right – especially after 9/10!

What would the “voice” in your old car GPS unit say when you decided to depart from the prescribed route? I remember our friend Dave’s GPS would say “recalibrating.” My husband and I thought it would be a hoot if not only did the GPS simply say “recalibrating” when you went off-route – but would sound incredibly irritated when you did it (and maybe add some commentary)! (long irritated sigh…) “Recalibrating…seriously…why are you even using me, anyway?” Or, “Recalibrating (mutters under breath “dumbass).”

The GPS guiding my trivia team right now must be pretty darn irritated by now! 🙂
