As I am preparing to go to my trivia game tonight at Tower Inn in Ypsilanti, it just occurred to me…this is the second trivia spot I’ve played in the past couple of years with a name inspired by a phallic object.

I played at the Wurst Bar for almost two years. It’s named for its handcrafted sausages (which are phallic) that they serve on their “gastropub” menu. Does “gastropub” make anyone else think of “gastropod?” My mind is weird…

And Tower Inn is named for what is arguably the most phallic structure in the United States. Ypsilanti’s famous water tower. Behold…
