It’s Venue Tournament Week – So No Final Questions Posted This Week!

Hey blog readers! I know quite a few of you like looking at the final questions from Sporcle Live trivia games that I share in my blog, so I wanted to let y’all know this little bit of news… It’s “venue tournament week” in the land of Sporcle Live trivia, and I will not have those questions to share this week unless I happen to get them from others –  or I happen to play in a game. So far, I have plans to play Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday nights, so I will have final questions posted from those days.

I am still waiting to hear confirmation from the trivia league that my team will be able to vie for a tournament spot at one of the venue tournaments this week. We played the minimum games to qualify at Tower Inn in Ypsilanti, MI – but since we are the ONLY qualified team there, I’ve heard from the host that we would have to request to play in a different venue tournament in order to qualify for finals. I’ve e-mailed the league about this, but still haven’t heard anything. So if we get to play – and win – we have a shot at the finals Dec. 1. But if we don’t – well, that’s OK, too! I wasn’t actually planning on playing in any end of season tournaments this season anyway. Que sera, sera…(Whatever will be, will be).

This means I should have THREE trivia recaps to share this week! IKR? Next week is Thanksgiving week, which is going to be a very, very busy week for me at work – so I probably will not have any recaps to share next week (we’ll see…we’ll see)!

Did you know that Sly and the Family Stone recorded a cover version of Que Sera, Sera? It plays in the end credits of the 1988 film Heathers. This song was originally sung by Doris Day in The Man Who Knew Too Much.  If you listen to Sly and the Family Stone’s version, be careful – you just might get a contact buzz (JK)!

As always, thanks for reading. Regularly scheduled trivia “programming” will resume soon!
