As it turns out, we qualified for the Sporcle Live League Championship by playing THREE GAMES at Tower Inn in Ypsilanti. However, there is a catch…if we want a shot at going to the “big dance,” we have to win ANY local venue tournament that we choose.

At first, I thought that we wouldn’t bother. We haven’t been really trying to win a championship spot this season, after all. In  EITHER trivia league.

Then I talked to a couple of members of my team, who were excited about having a shot, and we picked a spot…SPOILER – the spot is NOT Corner Brewery or Original Gravity (though I DID think about it briefly…ain’t I a stinker?). I deliberately  chose not to be in contention  at OG this season, though I have to say it wasn’t  easy  for me to do!

It’s settled! We’re going to take our shot! We could fail…but we’re gonna try! See you at finals…uh maybe? If nothing else we will have earned our spot fair and square (per league rules).
