Oops – The Trivia Host Forgot To Report Our Score From Thursday’s Game! But That’s…OK!

Three of us played in a very, very strange trivia game (yet fun) Thursday night at Original Gravity. Decent scores going into both finals, and very, very favorable sounding final categories. We wagered full points on both finals, and failed them both. Still, all of that said, our efforts SHOULD have put us in first place for the night with 97 points (the second place team had 84 points). Thing is, no one is going to know about this, other than people reading this blog. Because I’m not reporting it to the league. If the host realizes her mistake later and reports it, that’s different – but I’m NOT going to report the error. I’m going to do one better and message her, and ask her NOT to report our score (I don’t like leaving anything to chance).  Yup, just did that… With only one game to go in the season, us getting the 15 league points instead of a “regular” team would cause other team’s league point tallies to drop. We’re not in contention at this bar this season, so I see no point in doing something that could screw things up for the teams who’ve religiously played here all season.

Who says I didn’t do anything nice today? LOL Even though my alignment is mainly neutral, sometimes that pesky “good” part tries to say, “Hey, look at me! Now give me a scented puffy unicorn sticker, dammit!”

Unicorns are all the rage in hair AND clothing fashion right now…those goody-goody pastel magical horses with horns (pardon me while I go into a diabetic coma). What would happen if they met one of the horses ridden by the Black Riders in The Lord of The Rings?  Now THERE’S my fascination with evil alignments poking through (though I am NOT an evil person myself).

Next season, however? All bets are OFF! No more Ms. “Nice Team!” My team WILL be in contention at this bar, even if only on a “part time” basis. We’re going to be experimenting with an “every other” trivia night schedule, where we play in one spot on Tuesday, and the following week, play Thursday. Depending on my work schedule (and scratching the trivia “itch”), however, there may be weeks that both nights wind up getting played.

And that’s it for that! Recap of the game coming soon…
