The same fate could have been mine had I not taken a little break from one of our trivia spots this week..

My husband and I both needed a bit of a break from the Wednesday night trivia scene at Corner Brewery – and we got it this week! Both of us were getting a bit weary of having to get there so early just to babysit a table, among other things (including not winning prizes very often). So we took Wednesday night off from playing trivia, and I managed to check out a possibly promising new trivia spot Tuesday night. Tonight, we’ll be hitting up up one of my favorite summer/warm weather trivia spots, so I’ll have a recap of that game Friday.

Turns out we are going to end up finishing the season and vying for a finals spot. We have two different bars in which we can attempt to do this, so we’ll see how it goes! I was having second thoughts about going for it this season, but rest assured, the brain slugs that infested my brain and made me think we SHOULDN’T make a bid for finals have been…eradicated (who wants some escargot, lol)! All is well! Burnout and ennui were both starting to rear their ugly heads, giving myself a bit of a change of scenery this week proved to be all I needed to hit the reset button.

As for a little update, we might be doing at least an “every other” Tuesday trivia night at Cultivate Coffee/Taphouse for the spring/summer season. One of our players lives literally STEPS away from the place and can play every other week, so we could easily play the minimum games to qualify for the venue tournament by playing here. On the other weeks, I could still play one of my favorite spots on Thursdays, or when my schedule allows. This sounds like a great way to keep myself from getting too bored and mired in routine for the summer months! And I’m beyond excited that I’ve found a trivia spot this player and I agree upon! The struggle is real, lol…
