Congrats to team “Soul Men” for winning the top prize today in the My Trivia Live finals in Novi, MI! Also shout out to team Liquor Cabinet for finishing second and for One is The Loneliest Number for finishing third. I’ll have a recap of that game posted on Sunday. I make it a policy to never write trivia recaps unless I’m sober, lol…clearly, this was not our game to win! We blew the entire third round of questions about law, advertisements and soap operas. I have not watched any daytime soap operas regularly for at least 30 years, so that one was one me! We also narrowly missed a “movie quotes” question about which character in a 1986 movie said, “No – be afraid – be very afraid.” We had the right movie, not the right character. But I’m guessing quite a few teams missed this one. We rallied a bit in the second half, only missing two regular round questions, but that was not enough to salvage our game. Better luck next time? Let’s see if we actually make it to the “big dance!” Always an adventure!
