Wow, Walt Disney sure wields a lot of power for someone who has been dead since 1966 – and whose first foray into animation occurred in 1928 with Steamboat Willie. I still think that sounds like code for a filthy sex act. Maybe someone sticks a digit or appendage…of some sort into really hot water, lubes it up and…OK, I’ll stop now… Yes, Walt Disney has quite the body of work, and still holds the record for being the human being to receive the most Oscar statuettes in ONE ceremony with four. Ethan Coen, Marvin Hamlisch and Francis Ford Coppola are all waiting in the wings with three each, but to avoid a tie with the late Mr. Disney, they will have to have to be able to put their filthy mitts on five Oscar statuettes in one ceremony. I think that can be done! Though Coppola and Hamlisch are both getting long in the tooth (hastily checks Google to see if Hamlisch is even still alive…click click). Nope, Hamlisch kicked in 2012. Coppola is 80, and Ethan Coen is 60. But without further ado, here’s a list of Disney’s “Animated Classics.” NOTE: Pixar films are NOT included on this list.
